Our Process

  • 1. Right Fit

    - Please look at the pricing structure for returns and make sure the pricing works for you.

    - Our preparation and review team (myself included) have over 13 years of tax prep experience.

  • 2. Book your Return Engagement

    - You will receive an engagement letter via email that outlines scope of work and estimate (please see pricing on homepage).

    - Once you have signed the engagement letter, go through our onboarding process by clicking on the “client login.”

*We require that you provide your previous years tax return.

  • 3. Upload your Documents

    - I begin preparation of your return once we have all your documents.

    - I will work with you to make sure we have all the documents necessary to accurately complete your return.

    - Returns are done first come, first serve. Our turn-around time is 1-3 weeks depending on the size and complexity of your return and how engaged and concisely you provide me with your documents.

  • 4. Return Completion

    - 99% of our returns are completed via the IRS e-file system. You will be asked to review your return and electronically sign Form 8879 (e-file Signature Authorization)

    - Once you have signed off on your return and it has been accepted by the IRS, we automatically bill you for the remaining amount owed.

  • 5. Tips for Easy Process of your Return

    1. We have a pretty good idea of what documents we need from you and what documents and info are missing. Our emails should help guide you with checklists and questions. The quicker you get the documents to us the faster we are able to process your return.

    2. We prefer documents be upload in a PDF format. Please do not send us pictures of documents unless they are in PDF format and are legible.

    3. You can arrange to drop off hard copies of your documents - we charge a $75.00 document handling fee. We prefer electronic delivery.

    4. April 1 document deadline. If I don’t have all your documents 15 days prior to deadline, I do not guarantee the return to be done by March or April 15th. The team works hard to get returns done by deadline even if we get docs after April 1.

    5. Extensions. If we need to do an extension we will provide you with an estimated extension payment (if needed).

  • 6. Miscellaneous

    - When you get your return - If you are not already tax optimized we will give you some ideas and/or thoughts on possible ways to reduce taxes.

    - Bookkeeping and Payroll. I work with a trusted outside bookkeeping firm that handles many of our clients bookkeeping needs. We can provide a referral for both bookkeeping and Payroll.

    - Disputes. We work hard at being fair with our pricing for our services and value. Sometime disputes come up - we are committed to work with you in order to resolve any misunderstandings.
